Version 1.0.87 released

New features of Careta 1.0.87

Were made several fine-tuning in the theme to fix problems that have been reported and also add different ways of displaying the contents of wordpress.

1) Sidebar

Arguably the biggest change made was to make the sidebar as an object that appears (or not) within a post. The setting can be made directly in the Custom Panel of WordPress within the category Post Options > Display SideBar

2) CSS / JQuery / Masonry

I’ve invested a lot of time reviewing code and polishing the style sheets and scripts that are behind the theme. In addition I also added the Masonry as the rendering engine of the grid, taking a system totally own that had its advantages and problems, for something much better and that adapts easily to any type of device

3) More options for home

Some users questioned me about how to limit automatically the amount of characters to appear when Excerpts are linked. Now in Category Options you can choose between small, medium and large and thus reduce (or not) the amount of characters available in the Excerpt.

Upon arriving at the maximum size according to the option, the theme complements with ‘ … ‘ the text

Attention: the sidebar widget is now offered by the theme, meaning you need to configure the sidebar and the footer bar if you want both available in the theme.

Careta version 1.84

After a few months away from the maintenance of active poured into themes and made some adjustments to improve the control of the theme by the user.

The home page now has more options so you can choose what to show or not, running a bit of a prescriptive standard for something more flexible. Set the order of demonstration of the content within the page to read the tags and category come before the post content.

Another theme … PINADO

I’m working in Pinado, my new theme with an approach similar to Careta but seems more with Pinterest standards (a lot of people ask me for do something like Pinterest).

The themehas a lot of configuration of colors (like Careta) but too, new features as Infinite Scroll (that works at now, but with some bugs).

The header is very simple (again to has the same behaviour on PC or smartphones/tablets).
